Stewart | Hyder | Salmon Glacier

Drive from our lodge to Hyder and watch the grizzlies fishing. The national park authority is running an observation platform on site so that visitors can observe the spectacle without endangering themselves. Afterwards you will drive on on the gold mine road to the wonderful Salmon Glacier. You will meet the Bearman on the peak (a dropout living all summer long on the peak) that can tell you the whereabouts of the grizzly living in the region. Afterwards you can enjoy a leasurly dinner. The driving time is 2.5 hours each way. The drive to Stewart alone, past the Bear Glacier and through narrow valleys, is worth taking the trip by itself. We shall gladly assist you planning the trip.

Babin | Morristown | New and Old Hazelton

If you get up very early to drive to Babin Lake, you could observe Grizzlys while they are fishing. Pure driving time for each way is 3 hours. On the way back, make a stopover in Morristown and watch native Americans angling. Take a walk down to the Buckly River and watch the salmons trying to clear the rapids, jumping and fighting their way up. A wonderful experience. Then, head on towards the lodge but take another stop in Hazelton. This old village has a museum (native Americans) and can be reached over a spectacular bridge. Enjoy home made pastries in the old coffee shop. This is an exciting expedition along the Skeena valley. Take your rods along - there are great spots for salmon fishing on the whole way. We gladly assist you planning this outing.
