Experience the power of the king
The king salmon or chinook is the biggest, heaviest and most powerful of all pacific salmon. It is mostly pursued with spinners or salmon roe. But do you want to experience the ultimate fight with the fly rod? It will be an unforgettable experience to catch such a powerful fish with the fly.
These fantastic fish are climbing up the the Kitimat and Skeena River. We will lead you to the best spots, supporting you in each and every regard. Because it is on thing to get a chinook on to the fly, but reeling it in is an entirely different story again.
Enjoy the wonderful early summer in rivers sometimes as clear as glass pursuing the salmon of salmons. And the bycatch is not shoddy either: expect steelhead trout, chum salmon, and sockeye salmon. Towards the end of July, the king salmons dominance wanes and it's place is taken by other kinds of salmon.
Anybody that has ever hooked up a chinook with the fly, won't want to go without this feeling anymore and will go for the next, even bigger fish. After all, these mighty animals grow up to more than 100 lbs. We will support you with our outstanding knowledge of the rivers you are fishing in and with our big trove of knowledge on fly fishing king salmon. We will support you in fulfilling your dream of the “salmon of salmons”.
There is a good reason for the Skeena system with its tributaries to have the reputation for being the worlds best salmon and steelhead fishing grounds. Experience this fantastic fishery with us and enjoy the early summer in the wild and wonderful nature of Canada.
